Tina Kushnir of the Washington DC-based FAIR Fund is the surprise winner of the online raffle of the Women Who Light the Dark campaign!
Tina Kushnir, the winner of the Women Who Light the Dark raffle prize, is a translator and grant writer for FAIR Fund, a DC-based women's non-profit that works internationally by setting up programs to directly combat and prevent gender-based violence and human trafficking.
Tina's work through the organization's "Jewel Girl program," is directly connected and committed to end trafficking. The Jewel Girl program is a two-year endeavor that will provide the programming needed to teach trafficked Roma girls to create, market and sell high- end jewelry both in the local Serbian and U.S. markets.
Wrote an enthusiastic Tina when she was told she won a copy of the book: "I think this book is going to end up in the hands of many girls who pass through my office...!"
