Financial Highlights

In the fiscal year 2005-2006, the Global Fund for Women increased its overall grantmaking by 5% from $7.39 million to $7.76 million while increasing total expenditures 3%. The Global Fund for Women’s financial position remained strong with a net asset balance of approximately $20.1 million at fiscal year end.

The Global Fund for Women recorded approximately $11.6 million in Revenue and Support in fiscal year 2005-2006. Two notable changes in the Global Fund’s funding base during the last fiscal year were increases in the percentage of support from both individuals and corporations. In fiscal year 2004-2005, individuals represented 31% and corporations represented 4% of total Revenues and Support. In the fiscal year 2005-2006, these percentages increased to 40% and 13% respectively. On the expense side, the Global Fund for Women ended the fiscal year 2% under budget. Of total expenses, 79% was allocated for Program Services and 21% for Fundraising and General Administration.
