 Easy and Secure

Our Supporters

The Global Fund for Women relies on the generous contributions of individuals, foundations and corporations alike. We believe that philanthropy is a shared responsibility and that each of us should have a chance to give and to receive. We see each supporter of the Global Fund as equal partners in our worldwide network. Unlike many nonprofit groups, we do not categorize our supporters by the amount they have donated. We hope each and every donor is reaching to the limit of her or his capacity.

The Global Fund impresses me because most of its projects help women on a practical day-to-day level. It compares very favorably against other institutions in terms of the percentage of funds making their way directly to the beneficiaries.

  Isabel Allende

The Global Fund is an informed and committed partner. Their on-the-ground presence in Chile assures us that our grants are being made wisely and with great compassion. They are making profound changes at the grassroots level and their presence is needed and deeply felt in Chile.

The Global Fund for Women came to my attention through a mutual friend and admirer. When I learned about their work, I felt immediate kinship with their honest, organic approach to helping women create paths to self-sufficiency.

Founding Donor
(In Memoriam)

William R. Hewlett's willingness to take risks was evidenced in his decision to become one of the first donors to invest in the Global Fund for Women — a different kind of  "Silicon Valley start-up."

I have been an enthusiastic donor to the Global Fund for a dozen years but visiting 18 grantees showed me exactly how effective local women can be if they have the funds to do what they know should be done. Everywhere, I saw grassroots groups developing creative strategies -- their own solutions -- and being impressively capable of resolving the difficulties they face.
