"Corazón" is Spanish for "heart" or "core." The Global Fund's Corazón
Network is a very special group of individuals who care deeply about
our work, and who have pledged to contribute a specified amount each
month. Our monthly donors are at the core of what we do, providing
dependable support that we can draw on throughout the year as we give
grants to women's groups around the world.

The Global Fund for Women is the only organization that provides
seed funding in over 160 countries for new and innovative ideas, while
continuing to be a source of consistent support for women's groups
around the globe. To provide this unique combination of support, we
depend on predictable and reliable funds that the Global Fund for Women
can use where most needed. The Corazón Network makes this possible.
Whether it is the work of a South African group to use community
theater to address issues of violence against women; a Peruvian group's
innovative program to combat HIV/AIDS in Lima's barrios; or the
tireless efforts of Afghan women's organizations to ensure that women's
most basic rights are respected—we see every reason for hope in the
work of our grantees.
