On Creating a Safe and Just Afghanistan

Join a timely conference call with Sakena Yacoobi, a remarkable activist for women’s education in Afghanistan and current Global Fund for Women board member.  We are pleased to present the opportunity to talk with Sakena and learn about her extraordinary work to make education and health services a reality for over 350,000 women and girls in Afghanistan.

Sakena’s work comes at a time when adult literacy is below 29% for men and 23% for women.  Girls’ school enrolment rates are almost half that of boys.  Sakena will share the stories, the hope, and the challenges of creating a safe and just Afghanistan.
