The fall of the Berlin Wall was viewed by many as a giant step toward more freedom in the region. Now some 20 years later, the reality is quite different, especially in the area of women’s sexual and reproductive rights.
Angelika Arutyunova, GFW Program Director for ECIS, will lead a fascinating discussion of the gains and losses on issues such as reproductive rights and sexuality; as well as how the LGBTIQ community has emerged as the next social change agent building on the lessons and steps of the women's rights and feminist organizing.
