Spring Break Used for Helping Others

Thousands of students are spending their vacations learning about global warming or helping Hurricane Katrina victims rebuild their homes on "alternative spring breaks"—service trips run by non-profits to boost awareness of world problems. How much impact can college students have on a world crisis of this size? A lot, according to Anne Firth Murray, a Stanford professor and activist who founded the Global Fund for Women.
