According to a report released by the Women’s Funding Network and the Foundation Center , philanthropic foundations that focus primarily on women’s issues gave more to their causes between 2004 and 2006 than other types of foundations. The 55 women's funds in the report increased their giving by 24 percent, compared to a 15 percent rise in foundation giving overall during the same time period.  Read the article
