Global Fund's Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, Muadi Mukenge was interviewed today on the Morning Show on KPFA 94.1 FM about the brutality that women face in the Congo. Over the last five years, the Global Fund for Women has deepened its work in the Congo to specifically focus on ending sexual violence. Many groups have a multi-fold approach; they push for legislation that criminalizes sexual violence, provide counseling and work with women survivors of violence to tell the truth about what has occurred.
