Join the Global Fund for Women on an incredible nine-day journey (April 17-25, 2010) to parts of the ancient Silk Road in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Both countries have been shaped by a long history of transcontinental trade, occupation and regime changes, and we will see, first-hand, how women’s groups in these two countries persistently work to bring change to their communities.

The excursion will bring you face-to-face with multiple grantees of the Global Fund for Women. Since 1994, the Global Fund for Women has invested nearly $700,000 in women's organizations. In a rare opportunity, you will get to engage with women’s rights organizations who are working in some of the most challenging political, economic and social conditions.

In addition to meeting with our grantee partners, you will experience the famous Central Asian hospitality and marvel at the endless beauty of a region that has left so many in awe and others in love.
