The Global Fund for Women came to my attention through a mutual friend and admirer. When I learned about their work, I felt immediate kinship with their honest, organic approach to helping women create paths to self-sufficiency.

The Global Fund works in a unique way, by identifying the women most in need of help and providing direct support. Even women in the farthest reaches of the world—with no access to electricity, telephones or running water—are touched by the Global Fund. With the help they receive, women pull themselves out of poverty and build self-esteem and hope along the way.

The philosophy that every woman makes important and valuable contributions to her family, her community and herself drives EILEEN FISHER’s clothing concept and community support. I am passionate about work that develops women’s abilities and delighted to support the Global Fund in their efforts to help women of the world realize their potential.
