Allison Sambo is a researcher and analyst with significant experience in applied, mixed-methods research and evaluation. She has worked in East and West Africa in both academic research and project monitoring and evaluation. She has experience developing and managing monitoring and evaluation systems for social and behavior change programs by UNICEF, UNHCR, USAID and private foundations. As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Officer at Amplio Network, she designed and implemented program metrics, monitoring tools, and evaluations of projects in behavior change communications programs in Ghana, Kenya, & Rwanda. Allison received her Masters of International Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Development Economics. Her dissertation synthesizes academic literature and bilateral/multilateral strategies on gender equality and empowerment, describes and analyzes the efficacy of gender equality and empowerment investments globally, and evaluates the influence of types of aid on gender equality and empowerment in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
