Anjali has extensive fundraising and program experience with several international organizations. While in Washington, DC, she worked for the Institute of International Education, where she focused on proposal development for major US government funding opportunities with the State Department and USAID. She also worked for the International Republican Institute, where she managed programs in China related to local governance, civil society development, rural women, and electoral reform. Inspired by the local organizations she worked with and their focus on marginalized populations, Anjali became an English Resource volunteer in China for two years, where she advised several local organizations on fundraising, program design, and monitoring and evaluation. Most recently before joining the Global Fund for Women in 2010, she served as the China Program Director for Volunteers in Asia, where she developed and expanded the China program’s focus on grassroots organizations and marginalized communities. Anjali speaks Mandarin Chinese, is an avid international traveler, and enjoys exploring the outdoors in her spare time. She holds an MA in International Affairs from George Washington University.
