Clare Winterton led the International Museum of Women (IMOW) for five years as its Executive Director. During her leadership, IMOW created seven exhibitions which inspired and activated over 2 million visitors, and held events and installations in 14 countries on five continents. She led IMOW’s merger with Global Fund for Women to create a bold new force for awareness and action on women’s human rights. Clare combines a deep commitment to social justice with a passion for culture, media and the arts and has been a regular contributor to the Huffington Post on the women’s rights and popular culture. Clare is a former Head of Communications for Prince Charles’ charity for at-risk youth, The Prince’s Trust, and a former Vice President of the Women’s Funding Network. Clare holds an MBA with distinction from Cambridge University, with an emphasis on international business strategy and nonprofit leadership. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and her young children, Pearl and Felix.
