Daniela was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley located in Southern California. Her community was predominantly made up of Latinx and immigrant families which is what sparked her interest in international affairs. Her upbringing has led her to be passionate about community-based work that advocates for marginalized individuals that are impacted by socio-economic and political policies. The policy issues that she is passionate about addressing are income inequality, public health, gender equality, immigration, and human rights. In her most recent experience, she has been able to diminish the impact of social inequalities through direct service as a case manager for formerly homeless families. Now with Global Fund for Women she is looking forward to being an advocate against these inequalities through the strategic grantmaking process.
