Join Global Fund for Women as we highlight Black leaders in philanthropy, development, and global health from across the world who are showing up, shifting power, and putting solidarity into practice across borders.<\/p>\n<p>The brainchild of Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans, Black History Month commemorates and celebrates the contributions of people of African descent. Black lives matter across all borders-so Black History Month must be noted, celebrated, and preserved across borders as well.
