She paints on various surfaces, ranging from canvases to pottery, bags, and everyday objects, adding a unique cultural and artistic touch. Engaged in her community, she organizes painting workshops with children in her locality and community painting days, believing that art is a universal language that educates, unites, and inspires.<\/p>\n        <blockquote>\n                        L&rsquo;art est un langage universel qui transcende les barri\u00e8res culturelles et sociales. It has the power to raise awareness, provoke conversations, and inspire action.\u00a0\u00bb                     \n                                                        Ouedraogo Dorcas \n        <\/blockquote>\n\t<p><strong>What role do you think art can play in social change?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 travers mes \u0153uvres, j&rsquo;exprime des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s souvent ignor\u00e9es, je mets en lumi\u00e8re les luttes des femmes et des jeunes, et je cr\u00e9e un espace de r\u00e9flexion et d&rsquo;espoir. L&rsquo;art ne se limite pas \u00e0 l&rsquo;esth\u00e9tique ; il est un outil de r\u00e9sistance et un moteur de transformation sociale.<\/p>\n<p>Through my work, I express realities that are often dismissed, highlight the struggles of women and young people, and create a space for reflection and hope. Art is not limited to aesthetics; it is a tool of resistance and a force for social transformation<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How would you describe your artistic practice as it relates to supporting social movements?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 travers mon art, j&rsquo;encourage l&rsquo;expression et la sensibilisation aux enjeux sociaux. En organisant des concours de dessin pour les jeunes artistes et des ateliers de peinture avec les enfants de ma localit\u00e9, je leur offre un espace pour s&rsquo;exprimer et prendre confiance en leur potentiel. L&rsquo;art devient ainsi un moyen de valoriser leurs voix et de renforcer leur place dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Mon travail met aussi en avant la place des femmes dans l&rsquo;art et l&rsquo;entrepreneuriat, inspirant ainsi une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de cr\u00e9ateurs engag\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Through my art, I encourage expression and raise awareness of social issues. By organizing drawing competitions for young artists and painting workshops with children in my community, I offer them a space to express themselves and build confidence in their potential. Art thus becomes a means of valuing their voices and reinforcing their place in society. My work also highlights the role of women in art and entrepreneurship, therefore inspiring a new generation of engaged creators.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you hope to achieve through this award?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Ce prix est une opportunit\u00e9 pour \u00e9largir mon impact et renforcer mon engagement envers l&rsquo;art et la communaut\u00e9. J&rsquo;esp\u00e8re organiser davantage d&rsquo;ateliers de peinture pour apprendre aux enfants les bases du dessin et leur offrir un acc\u00e8s au mat\u00e9riel artistique. Pour moi, l&rsquo;art est un moyen de s&rsquo;exprimer et de se battre. J&rsquo;utilise l&rsquo;argent gagn\u00e9 pour acheter du mat\u00e9riel artistique, am\u00e9liorer mes comp\u00e9tences et organiser des ateliers o\u00f9 des femmes comme moi peuvent venir peindre ensemble et s&rsquo;exprimer.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>This award is an opportunity to expand my impact and strengthen my commitment to art and the community. I hope to organize more painting workshops to teach children the basics of drawing and offer them access to art materials. For me, art is a way to express oneself and to resist.
