Brittany Jenkins

Program Officer, Economic Justice

Britt is a South Carolina native who began her public service career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During her two years of service in Kazakhstan, Britt worked with a women-led NGO to promote gender equality and domestic violence prevention within rural migrant worker communities.

After completion of her Peace Corps service, Britt returned to the United States and became the Regional Operations Specialist for the American Red Cross Central Texas based in Austin. She supported community preparation for effective disaster response throughout the 48 counties of Central Texas.

Britt earned her Master of Public Policy from Duke University, where she studied political movements, economic analysis, evaluation methods, and gender policy. While at Duke, Britt began working with Global Fund for Women as the Learning and Evaluation graduate intern. Britt returned to Global Fund for Women in 2017 as the Economic and Political Empowerment Officer.

Britt earned a B.A. in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. In her spare time, Britt cultivates her love for music, tacos, and pub trivia.
