Sangeeta has over ten years of experience in the international development and social impact space. She began her career as a policy researcher at The Energy and Resources Institute, a think-tank in New Delhi, conducting inquiries at the economy-society-environment interface after completing a PhD in Economics from the University of Mumbai. Subsequently, she worked on academic and nonprofit research, project management, and grant writing projects in India and the US, including at The LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, The World Bank, and The Agastya Education Foundation. Most recently at TechSoup Global in San Francisco, she worked on the NGOsource project that supports international philanthropy, and as a consultant to the Strategic Development team. With the Strategic Development team, she articulated new programs, and helped secure funding for civic tech projects aligned with civil society imperatives worldwide.
