Amina Doherty

Board Co-Chair

Amina Doherty (she/her/hers) is a Nigerian/Antiguan feminist. In her work, she finds the natural flow between creativity and activism. Amina is a creative who strives to bring together people and ideas to create positive change. Through actively supporting transformational work from artists, dreamers, activists, and organizations that strengthen social change, Amina is focused on helping to build a more colorful, equal, and just world. Amina has worked with a diverse range of clients including governments, international NGOs, community-led groups, women’s funds, and individual philanthropists.

Amina is a co-founder of the Black Feminist Fund and is a founding member of FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund. Currently, Amina is the Director of the Women’s Voice and Leadership-Caribbean program at the Equality Fund.

Amina holds a B.A. in Political Science and Women’s Studies from McGill University (Distinction) and an MSc in Gender, Development and Globalization from the London School of Economics (LSE)
