Jenna Wallace

Jenna Wallace [she/her/hers] is the Program Officer, Economic and Climate Justice at Global Fund for Women.

Jenna is committed to human rights work that shifts power to self-led and community-based organizations and is passionate about intersections, especially between gender, economic, and climate justice. She has focused on integrating feminist approaches into grantmaking strategies, working in the women’s funding landscape to better support small and emerging women’s groups.

Prior to joining Global Fund for Women, Jenna served as the Director of Programs at Women First International Fund, a women’s fund with a long-term, funding+ model for women’s groups focused on improving livelihoods and financial independence. Her experiences partnering closely with community-based organizations, along with experience living and working in Southeast Asia and Eastern Africa, fuels her dedication to prioritize the expertise of women’s groups in human rights and social justice work.

Jenna earned an MA in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University in New York, where she concentrated on women’s rights and focused especially on women’s movements around land and natural resources. She also earned a BA in English Literature and a minor in Anthropology from Quinnipiac University, which was driven by a love for storytelling that has continued today. Currently based in Colorado, Jenna spends as much time outdoors as possible.
