Marry Ferreira

Senior Manager, Global Accountability

Marry Ferreira (she/her) is the Senior Manager of Global Accountability at Global Fund for Women.

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Marry earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Federal Fluminense University. She later obtained an M.A. in Public Media at Fordham University, New York. Marry is actively involved with human rights movements in Latin America and has a history of using communications and technologies to engage Black and Latino communities and connect them to policies and programs. In her current role, she leads the Feminist Accountability initiative at Global Fund for Women with a focus on communications and advocacy.

Prior to joining Global Fund for Women, Marry worked for nonprofits in the Americas developing communications strategies centered on immigration, gender, and racial justice to amplify international solidarity and community organizing. She served as United Nations Youth Representative for the International Association of Women in Radio and Television, and as a member of the Steering Committee of New York City for CEDAW. Marry is co-founder of the Kilomba Collective, the first collective of Black Brazilian immigrant women and girls in the United States.
