Officer, Particiaptory Approach

Megi Pishtari (she/her/hers) is the Officer, Particiaptory Approach at Global Fund for Women.`

Megi previously worked as a Grants Manager and Gender and Social Inclusion Internships Consultant at Millennium Foundation Kosovo, the implementing entity of the Threshold Program agreement between the Government of Kosovo and Millennium Challenge Corporation. As a grants manager, Megi worked on projects focused on poverty reduction through economic development while increasing capacities amongst Kosovo’s civil society. In her role as a Gender and Social Inclusion Internships Consultant, she worked on amplifying women’s voices in underrepresented fields.

Megi previously served as a researcher for the UN Special Rapporteur in the Field of Cultural Rights, with a focus on women’s access to cultural sites. During her time at UNICEF, she contributed to increasing opportunities for marginalized adolescent girls to meaningfully participate in policy formation and decision-making processes.

Megi received a BSc. in Business Management and Non-Profit Management from The King’s College, and a Certificate of Professional Studies in International Human Rights Law and Gender Studies from Oxford University. During her free time, she likes delving into readings on western philosophy.
