Radhika Bynon

Radhika [she/her/hers] is passionate about women leading change, with expertise on working with grassroots changemakers to develop and deliver initiatives that address local priorities. She is Director of Communities and Places at The Young Foundation, where she leads a diverse program of social innovation projects tackling inequality, including Reimagining Rent, the UK’s first accelerator for addressing inequality in the private rented sector, and Communities Driving Change, a program tackling health inequalities in one of London’s toughest boroughs. Previously she worked on the Prime Minister’s Council on Social Action, working with some of the UK’s leading innovators from business, non-profits, and government under the leadership of Prime Minister Gordon Brown to national create systems to enhance social action.

Radhika is co-founder and Chair of Asha Trust, working with women in Sri Lanka to tackle the challenges that blight opportunities for them and their community. She is collaborating with activists in Tanzania to develop a health center in Mugoma, providing essential services to a poorly-served rural community. She leads on innovation support for RootsLab in Lebanon, supporting young feminist action in partnership with Oxfam, FRIDA and Global Fund for Women. She sits on the board of Community Links, a large non-profit in east London, and Education Links, a school for excluded young people.

Through all her work, Radhika has seen the power of women coming together to achieve change and the systemic inequalities that damage lives and demand urgent action.
