Catherine Ward

Catherine’s career has covered strategic HR leadership, transformation, and communications. Throughout her career Catherine has been passionate about creating opportunities for women within the workplace, supporting women’s access to work, and economic empowerment.
For five years Catherine was Group HR Director on the Board of Interserve Plc, one of the world’s foremost support services companies, with 80,000 employees in 40 countries. She led the transformation of the HR and Corporate Social Responsibility agenda including defining direction in culture change, leadership, and diversity and inclusion. Interserve became the largest UK company to achieve the prestigious National Equality Standard.
Before joining Interserve, Catherine was Group People and Communications Director at BMI Healthcare, UK’s largest private hospital group. She has also held senior HR roles at Heathrow and Budapest airports, the BBC, Sotheby’s and Aviva. She has worked as a change management consultant with KPMG in the UK and internationally.

She is a Governor of the Place, the UK’s leading center for contemporary dance, was recently listed in the “FTSE 100 Women to Watch,” and is recognised in the “HR Most Influential” register.

Catherine has a BSc in biology, MSc in organisation behaviour and is an accredited executive coach with the ICF. Catherine regularly speaks at conferences in the UK and Europe on leadership development.

Catherine is now running her own consultancy business supporting organisation change, HR strategy and executive coaching.
