Jessie Macneil-Brown

Jessie is Head of Global Activism at The Body Shop International. With experience in leading global campaigns at Amnesty International and The Body Shop, Jessie led the The Body Shop’s most successful campaigns, Forever Against Animal Testing campaign, securing over 8 million signatures in just fifteen months and Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People which secured over 7 million signatures globally and changed legislation in 24 countries.

A key team member behind The Body Shop’s new purpose and global activism strategy, Jessie works to ensure that the company’s campaigns and corporate responsibility activities are implemented across customer facing communications to increase brand profile and customer engagement, including The Body Shop’s 3,000 stores in 70 countries. In her role Jessie also advocates at the highest levels, including the United Nations where she recently represented the voices of The Body Shop customers to connect their campaigning work to the Sustainable Development Goals.

A passionate feminist, Jessie spends her spare time campaigning at the grass roots with the Women’s Equality Party where she launched the Tower Hamlets branch in 2017 and ran as a local candidate in London in 2018 and Hove in 2019. Jessie is also a member for the Monash University Global Leaders’ Network Advisory Committee.
