Valeria Chapa Garza
Valeria Chapa Garza is a global corporate leader, attorney, and institution builder with more than 20 years of experience advising multinational companies, boards, and executive teams on governance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and complex cross-border operations.
Over the course of her career, she has held senior leadership roles at Baker & McKenzie, Honeywell International, AT&T, and Orbia Advance Corporation, leading legal, governance, and compliance functions across Latin America and globally, and supporting large-scale transactions, integrations, and enterprise risk frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Valeria is the Founding Chair of Abogadas MX, a national ecosystem for women lawyers shaping leadership pathways and professional culture across Mexico’s legal profession. Founded in 2014, Abogadas MX advances systemic change through mentoring, talent pipelines, scholarships, soft-skills and professional development training, wellbeing and resilience programs, data-driven advocacy, legal empowerment initiatives, and the promotion of best practices across all professional environments where lawyers work.
She brings to the Global Fund for Women extensive experience in governance, risk management, accountability systems, and organizational scaling, along with a long-standing commitment to building durable institutions that expand women’s leadership and influence.
