Who We Fund
We fund grassroots feminist organizations around the world, particularly those working in countries where organizing is dangerous or restricted, and flexible support is harder to access.
They are the first to recognize emerging threats and solutions, and the first to respond when a crisis hits. But too often, they're the last to receive funding.

What We Fund
Women, girls, and gender-nonconforming people are responding to overlapping challenges every day. Our funding supports grassroots feminist organizations working across four interconnected areas of gender justice in 180 countries. Lasting change requires progress across all of them.
Feminist Crisis
Response
Long-term funding that reaches communities directly, supporting them to prepare, respond, rebuild, and tackle the root causes of crises.

From femicide to online abuse to violence in conflict zones, our partners work to prevent and address violence and challenge the systems that permit it.

Finding the Organizations that Traditional Philanthropy Often Overlooks
Grassroots feminist organizations often work in places where laws shift quickly and civic space is narrowing. That's why we don't rely on a single way of identifying partners. Instead, we combine multiple approaches to find the organization best placed to respond and move funding where it's needed most.
Participatory
Grassroots leaders help decide who gets funded, so the people closest to the issues lead the way.
Peer and Advisor-Informed
Our global network of trusted advisors and peers helps identify the issues, opportunities, and groups we should support directly.
Proactive
We combine publicly available data and insights through our Gender Justice Data Hub to identify emerging mobilization and the grassroots organizations leading it, allowing us to proactively reach out when timely funding is needed most.
