Mayra Martinez

Associate, Brand & Culture

Mayra Martinez (she/her/hers) is the Associate, Brand & Culture, at Global Fund for Women.

Mayra has over 10 years of experience providing administrative support to upper-level management and C-level executives. She has a concentrated background in organizational roles associated with day-to-day operations, project management, and high-level communication with internal and external personnel.

Mayra was previously part of a health policy nonprofit that is the central voice in the California health care and health reform landscape, and a housing and homelessness nonprofit that partnered with local, state, and federal agencies to accelerate the community’s ability to compassionately end homelessness in Sacramento. For several years she has also provided freelance film support behind the scenes as an associate producer, creative writer, and other miscellaneous roles to short and independent films in the Los Angeles regions.

Mayra is fluent in English and Spanish and grew up in Southern California’s South Central and San Fernando Valley to immigrant multiethnic parents. She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, martial arts, camping, traveling, and music festivals. She continues to expand her knowledge on anything related to sustainability, holistic health, and filmmaking.
