Nafisa Ferdous

Manager, Emerging Opportunities and Movements

Nafisa Ferdous (she/her/hers) is the Manager for Emerging Opportunities and Movements at Global Fund for Women.

Prior to joining Global Fund for Women, she was a climate and gender researcher based in Kenya focused on participatory methodologies and ways of democratizing knowledge. She also worked for youth civil society organizations like Restless Development and Global South organizations like CREA and Prospera where she focused on supporting movements for bodily autonomy and abortion, trans, LGBTQI, and sex workers rights.

Nafisa is also a cultural worker and illustrator. She has collaborated with many collectives and community-based organizations in New York (where she is based) as well as with groups like AWID, the Just Seeds Cooperative, the People’s Forum, and various publications.
