Sandra Pons
Sandra Pons (she/her/hers) is the Senior Officer, Grants Management at Global Fund for Women.
Sandra is dedicated to resourcing gender justice movements to foster more sustainable and equitable communities and drive transformative change.
Prior to joining Global Fund for Women, Sandra worked at the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC), where she secured funding for the organization’s sexual and reproductive health and rights grantmaking and advocacy initiatives by building and stewarding relationships with individual donors as well as overseeing the production of the Annual Dinner. Her work there sparked her commitment to trust-based grantmaking and centering the experiences and expertise of marginalized communities.
Before IWHC, Sandra served as the Senior Development Coordinator at Girls Write Now, a writing and mentoring organization for high school girls in New York City, and as the Grant Writer for Oye Group, a Brooklyn-based artist collective. She has also volunteered at PowerPlay and Street Soccer USA, both of which use sports as a conduit to life skills development and social change. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from New York University and speaks Spanish. Sandra loves playing soccer, writing poetry, cooking, and volunteering with her local community fridge.
