PeiYao Chen, President & CEO, Global Fund for Women

PeiYao Chen, Ph.D., (she/her/hers) is the President & CEO of Global Fund for Women.

PeiYao Chen has held leadership roles at Global Fund for Women for more than a decade, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Global Operations before becoming President and CEO. She brings a deep commitment to applied research that connects academic knowledge with practical applications to advance social justice. PeiYao led the operationalization of Global Fund for Women’s approach to centering movements, guiding the development of groundbreaking tools such as the Gender Justice Data Hub, which identifies emerging gender justice mobilizations around the world.

Before joining Global Fund for Women, PeiYao served as Associate Director of Evaluation at TCC Group, a consulting firm that provides strategic planning, evaluation, and capacity-building services to foundations and nonprofit organizations. She holds a B.S. from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. from the City University of New York. Her dissertation examined immigrant workers’ organizing in New York City’s Chinatown.
